The VillageVILLAGE OF ROUSES POINT Police Department
The Rouses Point Police Department was established in April of 1877 with the appointment of the first Police Chief and one Constable. After 133 years in operation, the Department still attempts to maintain the American "small town" exposure in this peaceful and beautiful village. The Department is now comprised of three officers who enforce federal, state and local statutes, as well as handle the demands of the community while maintaining a focus on community policing. The Village's school crossing guards fall under the jurisdiction of the Police Department during the school year. Because of the village's unique border location, the department is privileged to benefit from federal and state law enforcement resources which are readily available. Residents of the village enjoy an extremely low crime rate. DOWNLOADABLE FORMS Below are the Police Department's downloadable forms.
