The VillageVILLAGE OF ROUSES POINT Treasurer's Office
The Treasurer's Office maintains custody of all Village funds and keeps an account of all Village receipts and expenditures in compliance with the uniform system of accounts issued by the Office of the State Comptroller. The Treasurer's Office bills and collects monthly utility bills (electric, water and sewer charges), real property taxes, Civic Center charges and other various miscellaneous charges and receipts. The Treasurer's Office is also responsible for the village payroll; the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, maintains compliance with the Village's Investment, Procurement and other financial polices. VILLAGE TAXES Another service provided by the Treasurer's Office is the posting of the Village tax bills and receipts online. Tax bills and receipts can be viewed and printed as warranted. TOWN, COUNTY & SCHOOL TAX LINKS PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS Please be advised the Town of Champlain Assessor's Office at the Town Hall, 729 Rte 9, is staffed every Friday for exemption renewals and assessment questions. The phone number is 518-298-8160. Return all exemptions to: Clinton County Real Property Office, 137 Margaret Street, Government Center Suite 210, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. The phone number is 518-565-4762. An annual financial report of the Village's revenues, expenditures and outstanding indebtedness is filed with the Village Clerk for each fiscal year ending May 31st. All rate schedules, tariffs and other charges are available for inspection at the Village Business Office anytime, Monday through Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm. To contact Village Treasurer Arsene F.
