Bowling house has Mens' Leagues - Womens' League and Mixed League; Junior Bowling is on Saturday Morning; Saturday Nights starting at 6 pm is Moonlight Bowling; it's a great place to have bowling Birthday Parties; annd tournaments run all through bowling season. Gaines Marina Hours: Gaines Marina is a full service marina offering slips, moorings, hauling, launching and boat storage. Gasoline, diesel and supplies are available at the ship store. Bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are also available. A certified technician and a DEC certified bottom paint applicator is on site. Boat and kayak rentals are available. The clubhouse includes a library and reading area. Scrapbook classes and supplies are offered by Creative Memories Instructor Naomi Treadwell. Marina Lighthouse Marina Lighthouse is a full service marina. They provide all your boating, service and storage needs. The facility has 7 large places, 12 feet deep service docks, fuel, electricity, pumpout, water, ice, phone washrooms, laundry, showers, a ship store, repair shop, aboundant parking, on site Customs services, a regatta club, a restaurant-bar with a swimming pool, travelift, launching ramp and mast stepping. They monitor channel 68. Both French and English languages are spoken. North Country Golf Club The North Country Golf Club has been open since 1936 and is one of the finest clubs in the North Country featuring a championship 18 hole, par 72, course. This challenging course has water hazards coming into play on several holes. The fairways are open, and the large greens are fast. The rolling terrain is easy to walk. The signature hole is #17, a 495-yard, par 5, requiring three solid shots in order to reach the green. The North Country Golf Club also offers a full service restaurant and bar, Pro Shop, driving range, putting green, and storage facilities. They are located on Hayford Road, Rouses Point, NY, open April 15 through October 31; daily at 6am From the smallest golf outing to the largest wedding or banquet, the North Country Golf Club is ready to serve you. Rouses Point Civic Center The Rouses Point Civic Center is a major North Country recreational facility and site. The Civic Center was built in 1978. Upgrades to the building in 1996 made the building available for year-round use. The ice arena is open during the winter season, October 1st through March 30th. The arena is the home ice rink for the North Country Skating Club, North Country Youth Hockey Organization and the Northeastern Clinton Central School's Varsity High School Hockey Team. A village owned pro shop sells hockey and figure skating supplies as well as providing skate sharpening services. The North Country Youth Hockey Organization rents and operates the arena's concession stand during the winter season providing food and beverages for the arena's participants and audiences. The North Country Skating Club holds their annual skating show in March. Public skating throughout the winter season is available to the public at $2 per person. The public skating schedule is posted on the village's website home page and at the Civic Center. Copies of the schedule are also available at the Village Office. During the summer season the Civic Center has hosted many events since the upgrade of the facility, including dances, trade shows, 4th of July Celebration events, circuses, as well as the Clinton County Republican Dinner, attended by former Governor George A. Pataki. The Center also plays host to the Boston-Montreal-Boston (BMB) annual bicycle race. The annual Biking for Miracles Motorcycle Ride benefiting the Children Miracle Network for cancer uses the facility as its departure point. Two meeting rooms are available to organizations. The Village Board of Trustees' semi-monthly meetings are held in Halstead Hall. The outdoor site has two baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball court, tennis courts, a playground, the Samuel de Champlain Center Stage and a gazebo for family gatherings. |
