Waterfront Revitalization
The Village of Rouses Point has embarked on an ambitious waterfront revitalization project, with the goal of improving public access to its beautiful lakeshore.
Construction of the new Montgomery Street Waterfront Park will begin in the summer of 2006, making Rouses Point's waterfront even more attractive to local and visiting boaters. The Waterfront Park will include a scenic pier on the site of the former State Dock, connected to downtown and the improved boat launch and parking area by a shoreline walkway. When completed, the Waterfront Park will provide a perfect location, only one block from downtown, for strolling, fishing, and general enjoyment of the waterfront.
